Giving back to my community has always been an important part of my life. Over the years I have served my communities in a variety of capacities on Boards, Councils and Associations. After moving to Bath, I was searching for ways to give back to my new home community. Through my colleague, Valerie Carmichael, I learned about the Florenceville Rotary Club.

I started out by joining the virtual meetings during COVID restrictions. This gave me an opportunity to learn about the inner workings of Rotary and helped me to make the decision to become a member.

As a Rotary member there are lots of opportunities to give back to our communities. I’ve had the privilege of helping with a variety of things over the past year, from Earth day garbage pick up, assisting at the Rotary booth during the Riverbend Balloon Fest, where we gave free books to young children, conducting research to help make a new chair possible for Oncology patients at the URVH in Waterville, to heading the Rotary Youth Exchange program for our club. The opportunities to give back are endless.

We would be happy to have you join us as we continue to find ways to serve our community and it’s members.
